The East Midlands education landscape is set for a major transformation this spring. As recently highlighted in the Derbyshire Times, Derby will play host to a “landmark new partnership” between L.E.A.D. IT Services and MATNetworks.

On Wednesday, 18th March 2026, hundreds of education leaders, business managers, and IT professionals will converge on the REACH Conference Centre for a day of inspirational talks, hands-on learning, and strategic networking.

The Power of Two Events, One Roof

By uniting the successful EdTech M.E.E.T. event with MATNetworks, we are offering a unique, holistic view of modern education. As L.E.A.D. IT Services Director Lee Jepson told the press:

“By bringing together the pedagogical side of tech with the strategic management side of MATNetworks, we are providing a holistic view of how innovation can drive forward a school — or an entire trust.”

Bringing the National Agenda to Local Communities

At the heart of this event is our commitment to making the national agenda relevant to local needs. Chaired by Kathy Hardy, CEO of Affinity Learning Partnership, the agenda is designed to support academy trust senior leaders in navigating the complexities of modern management.

As MATNetworks Co-Founder Lucy Clarke shared with the Derbyshire Times:

“L.E.A.D. IT and MATNetworks share strongly aligned values and a genuine commitment to supporting people and practice day to day, helping to build meaningful networks of support across education.”

Key Highlights for the Day

  • Visionary Keynotes: Hear from Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith (named a top five visionary woman in education) and educator Baasit Siddiqui.
